Reader's View: No better arguement than 'because God says so'

I contend that to change and grow there is no better argument than "because God says so." He created us and has only our best interests in mind.

The Declaration of Independence may "ensure" for us the "pursuit of happiness," but it does not ensure for us the achievement of happiness. If one person's happiness comes from disregarding the law, it is to the benefit of society he does not achieve his happiness.

Because we tend to be self-

centered beings, we tend to want to live by "because I said so."

I believe this is the view that is too narrow; it only looks out for one person.
