Reader's View: Newspaper errs on endorsement, mining

I was disappointed by the News Tribune's endorsement for St. Louis County Board in District 1 (Our View/Endorsement: "Booth has his focus on solutions," Oct. 4). The endorsement seemed to be leaning far to the right of mainstream.

I was disappointed by the News Tribune's endorsement for St. Louis County Board in District 1 ( Our View/Endorsement: "Booth has his focus on solutions," Oct. 4). The endorsement seemed to be leaning far to the right of mainstream.

Furthermore, I am shocked and angered by the News Tribune's cavalier attitude in its editorials about copper-nickel mining. I feel Twin Metals should never be allowed to build so near the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. The risks far outweigh any (temporary) benefits.
