The News Tribune Opinion page, on Oct. 6, recommended Mary Murphy be re-elected to her state House seat (Our View/
Endorsement: "Retain Rep. Murphy, a force for Northland"). The editorial included comments from Rep. Murphy regarding the colleague respect she shows in a bipartisan manner. Murphy's efforts truly do exemplify her words. As a result, she has colleague respect.
She is a key leader in the effort to ensure that the funding that was created by amending the state Constitution is done very well, and she has taken that charge very seriously and worked very hard to understand the issues and keep the promise to get this done correctly.
I agreed with the support shown Rep. Murphy by the editorial board at the Duluth News Tribune.
