There are some in Christian circles who feel they do not need to vote in the election for our state and national leaders. If the issues before our leaders were not moral issues that might be acceptable, but since many of the issues are moral issues we must vote or we tacitly give approval to those decisions made by our leaders who oppose the principles of the Scriptures.

If we don't vote for those who are pro-life then we are supporting the taking of innocent life through abortion. If we don't vote for those who support traditional marriage then we are allowing for the promotion of homosexuality.

A quote whose variations have been attributed to a number of individuals from Edmund Burke to Elie Wiesel is apropos: "All that is necessary for evil to flourish is for good men to do nothing." We have a privilege and duty to vote.
