Reader's view: Mills will help lead country in right direction

I received yet another pathetic attempt from supporters of U.S. Rep. Rick Nolan to smear the good name of Republican Stewart Mills. The ads equate with the demeaning rhetoric and attitude I’ve witnessed from Nolan during debates. I understand the tactics underlying these attacks. If you’ve never read Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals,” now’s the time. Avoiding issues by smearing opponents is foremost in Alinsky’s writings. His organizing work and Hillary Clinton’s hero worship of him and vision for America are proven.
One would be wise to then survey the vision for our country that candidates hold and compare them with one’s own. I wish for national security, foreign and domestic; a country where citizen contribution of talents and productivity is expected; a thriving economy that strengthens America while addressing real need in the world; and resources used with stewardship and common sense. I wish for an America with the hand of God still upon us, both guiding and blessing.
I will vote for those candidates with the vision to take America in that direction. This is the vision of Stewart Mills. I know and trust Mills and will vote for him with full confidence in his leadership.
