I saw little need for the late U.S. Sen. John McCain's daughter Meghan McCain or former Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush to bring politics into the final memorial service for Sen. McCain. Those, to me, were cheap shots.
While President Donald Trump was guilty of making comments while he was running for office along the lines of heroes not making it home from the war, let's not forget McCain evened the score on his own by attacking our president with every bill, it seemed, that he attempted to get passed.
While Bush and Obama were more polished speakers during their times served, Trump has put them to shame as the businessman he is and with what he has accomplished thus far.
If Obama and Bush had any decency at all, they would come out and say, "While we find your insults toward others and your tweeting, Mr. President, a bit hard to handle, we have to hand it to you for how you've managed to make us feel so insignificant regarding the little we accomplished during our times served. Where we should be feeling embarrassment over it all, know that our plan is to continue attacking you due to your hurting the false pride we are all about."
As far as the acknowledgement McCain was presented with following his death, I really doubt if so much would be made over Christ's return.
