Reader's View: Love your neighbor; end racism

As a child of the 60s, I still vividly remember going to Milwaukee to march with Father James Groppi in support of open housing for all black people. I did not understand at all the magnitude of the march. Today, racism is still alive and well.

Will we ever move forward?

A coworker of mine and her family were recent victims of racist acts. I feel so appalled and saddened by these merciless acts of harassment. Her children are afraid. My children were never afraid. My heart is so sad.

We live in America, home of the free and the brave. Yet are we all free? How brave are we when it comes to racism?

Please love your neighbor. We are all God's children.
