I am writing in support of Jill Lofald and to urge the voters of western Duluth to elect her to represent the 4th District on the Duluth School Board.
A long-time teacher, I have known Lofald for many years both as an engaged and animated teacher and as an impassioned and dedicated speech coach. She does not know how to do things half-heartedly. Her drive and focus are contagious, and she knows how to bring people together to get things done. I saw this firsthand when Lofald worked tirelessly with the Minnesota State High School League Board to engage schools big and small across the state in valuable extracurricular activities such as speech, debate, and drama.
Lofald has a heart as great as her expertise. She knows education and she knows what is good for everyone involved: students, teachers, parents. She also knows the needs of the district in western Duluth. After living in the area for more than 50 years and after teaching there for more than 40, who could be better equipped than Lofald to address those needs?
Vote Nov. 7 for a representative with a proven record of commitment to education; vote for Jill Lofald.
