I am writing to encourage voters to cast their ballots on Nov. 7 for Jill Lofald for the 4th District School Board position.
As a graduate of Denfeld High School and former speech team member under Lofald's coaching, I am well acquainted with her enthusiasm and passion not only for her students but for education in general.
I have gotten to know Lofald on a more personal level since my graduation, and her pride in her students is infectious. She always strives to embolden her students to succeed inside and outside of the classroom. Her relationships with her students is inspiring. I don't know if I've ever known a teacher to have such strong bonds continue with their students even after graduation.
When I learned Lofald planned to run for School Board, I felt it was the natural progression for her career.
Lofald is a candidate for students and their families. She has always fought tirelessly on behalf of her students, and she will now be able to do so on a much larger scale. There is not a candidate who can match her experience and her dedication to students and education.
