Reader's view: Let’s give new president a chance before criticizing

I just read all the disparaging letters to the editor about President-elect Donald Trump on the Nov. 16 Opinion page. The letter writers are no better than the protesters. So much hate.
How about giving Trump a chance? If he does an awful job, then let’s let him have it.
As Americans who love our country, we have to be united for the good of our country. How about trying that instead of trying to take us down?
