The July 22 article about the sale of the Les Chateaux apartment complex in Duluth represented one view of the sale (“London Road complex sells for almost $20 million”).
I would like to reveal another as a resident of Les Chateaux.
Monarch, of Colorado, appears to be the new owner. We received notice of the sale the day before we lost all power from the storm.
Les Chateaux maintenance worker Matt Lackner’s comment in the story that “the sale has been very foggy and not transparent” was dead on.
The two older buildings are not beautiful, as resident Connie Dahlen was quoted saying; they are old and worn and have not been completely maintained. Our unit and others recently being rented out were not cleaned or maintained before the sale.
We invite the newspaper to take a closer look.
