More and more we're hearing voices from the right referring to Democrats as the "Democratic/Progressive/Socialist Party" or something along those lines - as though Democrats have moved as far left from center as Republicans have moved right. (Democrats haven't yet, though there is that danger.)
Trump apologists like of Rudy Giuliani, Sean Hannity, and Rush Limbaugh would have us believe that anyone who dares criticize President Donald Trump must be from the far left or at least a raging liberal.
They would have us believe that the mainstream media - including the networks CNN and MSNBC and publications like the New York Times, Washington Post, and Wall Street Journal - are all wrong and "fake news." And only Fox News is right? Then how do they explain the many ultra-conservative Republican voices raised in condemnation of Trump, from people such as David Brooks, Steve Schmidt, George Will, or the late Charles Krauthammer, just to name a few whose conservative credentials are at least as impressive Giuliani's, Hannity's, or Limbaugh's?
This notion that one must be left-leaning to be appalled by the Trump presidency is just beyond insulting. Every clear-headed American should be appalled.
