I must admit it was no surprise that the News Tribune endorsed U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar ( Our View/Endorsement: "Klobuchar finding success, despite pit of politics" ). But it was hilarious that the editorial said she is highly bipartisan. What has she championed that both sides agreed on? When you vote 90 percent with your party, it is not really bipartisan.
If she is so effective, why did she not get her party to stop the steel dumping? It stopped under President Donald Trump.
She is great at looking bipartisan, but in reality she is not. She lays in the weeds and is just another rubber stamp for the Democrats in Washington.
Just because she is nice is no reason to keep her in office.
The fact she was part of the debacle over the Supreme Court confirmation of Justice Brett Kavanaugh was enough for me to not vote for her ever again. As a former Hennepin County attorney, she apparently forgot "innocent until proven guilty" and that due process is for all Americans. She could have been bipartisan during those hearings, but she chose not to be.

Again, for the paper to claim she is strongly bipartisan was "four Pinocchios," as the Washington Post might rate it.
