The Deeps are a pristine part of Duluth and the Amity River. When I first moved to this area numerous years ago, I observed young men and kids jumping out of that pine tree. I thought to myself, what a perfect swimming hole for kids to dive, swim and sharpen their skills. Yes, it is a dangerous area if you are not careful. But you must use your better judgment on the decisions you make at the Deeps. You have to use your good decisions throughout life. The river has been a pristine area for millions of years; let it stay that way!
