I seriously wondered why a man with a criminal history, and who was on probation for criminal sexual conduct, was released until trial ("Cromwell man charged with criminal sex conduct with a minor," Feb. 18). Why would this man have had any kind of pre-trial release contract in place? Wouldn't it have been better the other way around?
Shouldn't someone on probation for something and who then allegedly commits the same wrong-doing be kept locked up?
Like we wanted this guy in Cromwell still! What happened to the protection of the rest of the kids? Or are we so worried about his rights? Way to go folks!
