It appears our governor may go down as the haircut governor. He seeks to give Minnesotans a haircut, and with the increased tax revenue from this he can redistribute $1 billion a year to a few state public entities so they may wear their hair a bit longer and fuller.
Many years ago I was selling Sen. Sam Solon a tax-free haircut. (He and I met like this for 40 years.) I asked him, "Do you see a sales tax on haircuts in the future?" His response was, "No, everyone needs them."
