Our state and local governments are at it again. Wasting money. Playing games. The state has a nearly $2billion dollar surplus, yet our illustrious governor wants to tax us more for road repairs and education. As I recall, we have been taxed for that already.
Taking more money out of our pockets will fix things? All that money in the ābankā and oh, what to do with it?
And Duluth is supposedly on the right path for the future, touts our mayor. Millions are to be spent on new city trails and other attractions - and then bam, a new library idea pops up. What? My wife and daughter were just at our downtown library, and many people were enjoying it. No complaints about parts of it falling apart or a lack of space. Where did the city get $80,000 to do a study? Is that for real? Could be from all of the extra fees we have to pay.
Maybe we can drive our cars on the Lakewalk and on city trails since theyāll be in better condition than our streets.
Politics in this city and state donāt follow the peopleās agenda; that isnāt even considered, as we know from past experience. I donāt know about everyone else, but I am going broke trying to finance all of this irresponsibility.
