Kudos to George Diaz on his well-written article on Darren Sharper, and his possible induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame (“NFL is tone deaf on women’s causes,” Sept. 20).
For the NFL to even consider Sharper for induction into the Hall of Fame is the height of the pomposity that seems to rule the NFL. This person (he is not a man in my book) raped his way across the country, preying on drugged, defenseless women for his own gratification.
Induction into the Hall of Fame should include attributes of the person as a whole and not just his actions on the field of play. This person is a failure to himself and to society as a whole.
To the NFL, I say, “C’mon man.”
