Here's what I would like to know about this new sales tax proposal for street repairs ("Mayor's budget doubles down on streets," Aug. 15): Will the money go to fix my street or my friend's street? Or will it go to fix the streets in Mayor Emily Larson's neighborhood? Or, worse, all the streets the tourists drive on?
I'm all for this new sales tax if residents' streets are to be fixed with it.
I live on a bus route to Lincoln Park Middle School, and the street is awful. It's one big pothole patch - and there are worse streets in every neighborhood that deserve attention before Canal Park.
