I am supporting Zack Filipovich for another term as an At Large member of the Duluth City Council because of his efforts to make Duluth a safe and friendly place for pedestrians and bicyclists. We live in a city where a growing percentage of the population is leaving the car at home and walking or biking as a means of transportation as well as for pleasure. There is also a portion of the population whose only means of transportation is walking or biking.
We need continued efforts to make Duluth's infrastructure safe and functional for those who walk and bike around town. It is important for the City Council to work on developing a plan to make the city more accessible and safer for those who walk and bike as well as those in cars.
Since joining the council, Filipovich has been among the city leaders willing to push these discussions and willing to make essential projects reality.
Please join me in voting for Zack Filipovich for City Council on Nov. 7.
