As a professional firefighter for the city of Duluth, I cannot support Todd Fedora's re-election to the City council.
In the past, when there was talk of cutting a fire engine from the downtown fire station, which is nowhere near his home or district, Fedora stated he didn't believe it would result in a decrease of service. He was mistaken. Of course cuts to city services are felt by the public -- from parks and recreation to libraries to fire engines. Fedora is a banker, not an emergency service expert, and yet he reassured the public there was nothing to worry about. In electing a city councilor, we can do better.
