So the president's long-time lawyer and so-called "fixer" was served with search warrants, and documents were seized. America may actually learn hard facts about how corrupt President Donald Trump appears to be, with allegations from money-laundering for Russian oligarchs and mobsters to campaign-finance fraud. It should come as a surprise to no one if this con-man real estate mogul, who proudly claimed his preference for using "other people's money," is corrupt. There are many reports of contractors he stiffed, women he assaulted, banks he failed to pay back, and suits he filed to save himself a buck. Even now, he seems to be trying to back out of the deal (contract) he signed on the federal budget sent to him by Congress.

Every person in this man's vicinity has to sign a nondisclosure agreement, it seems. Corruption oozes. I don't expect evidence to change the minds of true "Trumpeters," of course, as evidenced by the insinuation in a recent letter to the editor that at least we know Trump "was born in the U.S." (Reader's View: "Trump perfect for needed course change," April 9). I assume the letter was an attempt to insinuate that President Barack Obama was not, despite the evidence of a birth certificate from the American state of Hawaii.

Facts will not matter to the followers of this fake president, but perhaps they will matter to those who just held their noses and took a chance.
