What is happening in this country? Our ancestors came from all over the world for a better life and freedoms to worship as we please and to choose our own paths. We have some religious leaders thinking it is up to them to sit in judgment of others and other beliefs that are different from theirs. God is judging clergy as well as the rest of us. We are seeing more bigotry, racism and hatred than I ever thought could happen in our country.
We have some saying government is taking over our lives, but it's OK when the government steps into women's rights or with no proof jeopardizes voting rights. We have a Republican from Florida saying this is true and happening, that voter fraud is not happening. Is government taking over? Where are the less-
government people now? Of course these are only a few examples.
I also see our democracy being taken away from us by money. I don't like the idea of wealth and power being able to take, take, take from the middle class and poor. People are suffering all over, but the well-to-do don't see any of it.
I'm a firm believer in accountability. That word to me fits any situation. Sorry to say, there is none: Wall Street, lobbyists, government, religion, the behavior of adults and children, health, politics, guns, climate, banks -- get the idea?!

If there were more consequences and accountability for the actions of everyone, rich or poor, maybe there wouldn't be so many actions.
