Reader's View: Every vote counts

In his commentary in the News Tribune on June 17, Joel Mathis pointed out how little support either Eric Cantor or David Brat had in the Virginia primary (“Minority of voters made decision”). Too often pundits give enormous weight to a candidate winning even though more people stayed away than voted for the “winner” or even for all the candidates together.
No matter what your political view, always vote because every vote counts. Don’t throw your vote away by staying away.
