I find it very sad the way some employers are using the struggling economy to overwork their staff. The worst part about it is our kids are getting the brunt of this.
I have personally experienced this as my child got bitten with the flu and some other issues this year. Trying to get my employer to grant me time off was not a possibility. My wife had to use all her sick days, and she almost lost her job.
I really feel some employers are constantly throwing in their staff's face that it would be very easy to replace them because of the current lack of jobs. Shame on employers who treat employees like that. Those employers had better hope the economy stays bad or they'll lose some great staff to other companies.
