The average price of regular gas in the United States in the summer of 2008, just months before President Obama took office, and with the nation still under the magnificent handling of the economy by President George W. Bush, was $4.12 per gallon. With the economy collapsing and jobs being lost at the rate of up to 800,000 per month between May 2008 and January 2009, gas dropped to $1.61 per gallon for regular on average in the United States.

Clearly we should elect any Republican for president, regardless of whether the candidate is qualified or not because I am certain whoever that person is will destroy the economy and we can again enjoy record job losses of up to 800,000 per month and a massive drop in the price of gas.

We have only ourselves to blame for the high gas prices we enjoy today. That's because we elected Obama, and he made the terrible mistake of putting the economy back on track, relieving the job losses and saving the financial industries upon which capitalist nations like ourselves depend, thereby allowing oil companies to reap great profits.

Why is it Obama haters never tell the entire truth about gas prices under Bush and constantly bring up that gas, when Obama took office, was cheap? Of course it was cheap. No one was driving to work, and even at $1.61 per gallon, very few people could afford to buy gas; therefore, demand was virtually nonexistent.
