Economic recovery, you say? Let me tell you how this supposed recovery has affected my family.
My husband was laid off 1½ years ago. He lost his medical and dental insurance one year ago. He continues to look for work each week and donates plasma to make ends meet. He prays that none of our home appliances stops working because we would not be able to buy replacements. He prays that our car continues to run well because we are not in a position to purchase a replacement. On top of all that he continues to pay full union dues even though we truly cannot afford it.
Economic recovery? I think not!
