I want to take a moment to sing happy praise for the lovely, intentional way of life I find every day in the city of Duluth.
Praise could go to those who tend the Rose Garden. It is so stunning and luscious and inspiring. What a gift to spirit.
It could go to the fine folks who work at our big, beautiful library with its newly painted book mural, which is so great. A feast of stories, ideas and information is eagerly waiting for open minds to discover.
I appreciate those who till and tend the soil to bring fresh produce and flowers to the farmers' markets. What a glorious opportunity for Duluth residents to share in the delicious riches of our Northland.
I am thankful for those who erected new signs and created new, safe roadways for our travels.

Those with vision, voice and fortitude make our city a most wonderful place to be. May all their days be as radiant as white summer roses beside a big, blue lake.
