The story in the News Tribune about DFL legislative candidate Erik Simonson and his daughter was very sad ("Simonson's daughter says he abandoned her," Sept. 5). However, divorce is an intensely private matter and should remain so -- even for public officials.
Simonson wants to represent the folks in District 7B in the Minnesota House of Representatives. He needs votes as a write-in candidate in the November election. He is a pragmatist and not a professional politician. All of his efforts will be guided by a simple promise: What will create the greatest good for the greatest number of people. Simonson is a fair and truthful man with integrity.
