Back in the day when bullying was more face-to-face, I was bullied from seventh grade to a year after high school ("Fighting for the right to cyber-bully," Dec. 14). The only relief I had was when I went to my locker, which was by the senior jocks' lockers.
The bullying really got to me, but changing schools wouldn't have helped. I even asked if I could go to school with my cousins in St. Louis Park, Minn. The school had class sizes too big for me to adjust.
This issue isn't about free speech; it's about hate speech. As the old saying goes, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything."
