Following last month's primary, I had the opportunity to welcome U.S. Rep. Chip Cravaack for a campaign stop at my local business in Duluth. It was an honor to welcome him into my shop to officially kick off his campaign.
As others have noted, the backdrop for this campaign stop was significant. Congressman Cravaack and the campaign reached out to me because they wanted to highlight small businesses across the 8th Congressional District and gather input on the issues facing small business owners.
This was exactly the reason I support Congressman Cravaack. He is working hard for the citizens of the 8th District and promoting smart, common-sense policies that will allow businesses to reinvest and hire new employees. This is how we'll get our economy back on track -- not by more regulation, taxes or mandates.
With campaign season now in full force, voters across the district will have choices to make when they decide whom to support. When it comes to the choice for our representative in Washington, we should support the candidate who is fighting for sound policies to allow small businesses (not government) to grow. That is Chip Cravaack.
