I ran for 6th Judicial District Court Seat 11 in Lake and Cook counties because I know how important that judgeship is to our communities. I believe my 20 years as an attorney, including two terms as Lake County attorney, and my experience as a Navy JAG uniquely qualified me over the other candidates.
However, I fell short in the primary. I thank those who supported me. I hope they supported me because they believed I was the best-qualified candidate, not just because I am from Two Harbors. I trust they will not vote on Nov. 2 for a candidate just because he is from Two Harbors. There are more important qualities a judge needs than an address.
