Reader's view: Clokey has history of advocacy for middle class

As a working middle-class parent I struggle with this. In an area that continues to struggle with issues of a recession, it would only be common sense to focus on bringing more quality jobs into the community with livable wages. Huntley's idea of squeezing more money out of those who are already tapped simply makes no sense.

Since the late 1990s Brandon Clokey has been advocating for those already struggling. He has worked hands-on with the homeless and fought for the rights of the less privileged. In addition, he is no stranger to public policy, and he utilizes his experience to strengthen families in Duluth and across the state. He is the type of person who thinks outside the box and realizes there is more than one way to deal with increasing revenues.

Huntley also stated, "We've been kicking the can down the street for 15 years. It's time to get serious about Minnesota's future." I will be voting for Brandon Clokey on Tuesday. The middle class can't wait any longer for a solution.
