I consider myself an open-minded guy, but I cannot get my head around this global-warming absurdity.
It's the sort of thing I would expect to hear on thirsty Thursday when the crowd is three deep at the bar - not in the national media. Weather forecasts have become a litany of breathless adjectives with the seeming intent of hyping the weather and spooking the public. Climate change uses cuckoo science that does not welcome critical thinking or independent thought.
It is hard to take seriously when you consider the sources: jet-setters, politicians, Hollywood types, and other radical eco-socialists with self-serving agendas - a bunch whose carbon footprints hypocritically far exceed the average person's. Their indulgences and excesses compromise credibility. There is a pile of money to be made on this proposed carbon tax. A real bonanza. However, neither the evidence nor common sense justifies for me such a money grab.
The carbon dioxide fairy does not cause hurricanes; it is just Mother Nature being Mother Nature. All the money in the country combined with every prissy regulation the government can conjure up will not modify the weather. We are in a sucker's game.
