With fall in the air and hunting season here, I feel sorry for the poor, city-dwelling, semi-tame deer. All summer and fall people feed and enjoy them via bird feeders, apple trees, etc. People enjoy watching the fawns grow.
Now we see people dressed like Rambo near homes and trails, setting up ambushes to slaughter deer. Meanwhile, other city-dwellers like foxes, rabbits, raccoons, bears, skunks and geese escape the wrath.
You would think with all the goose poop in parks and ball fields and other public places causing pollution and bacteria in the water and contributing to the closing of beaches and to making people sick that geese would be the number-one target.
