Jesus said, "Love one another," and, "I am with you always."
Christmas reminds us Jesus loves us unconditionally, with all our faults and blemishes. He loves the poorest, dirtiest and most messed-up among us, as well as the more righteous.
Jesus didn't come with an army but in a lowly stable; he ultimately gave his life for us. He asks nothing of us and gives his love freely.
All we need to do, as Jesus said in the book of Matthew, is, "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you." Jesus doesn't need us and makes no demands on us, which is why he gave us free will.
Our Constitution comes from the belief all are created to be free. Since he gave us free will we can choose to damage our bodies and minds with addictions and dangerous lifestyles, or we can choose to ask and trust Jesus to guide us to love ourselves as well as others.

When we try to fix our lives on our own we end up in higher debt, divorced, addicted, angry, unhappy and lost. Christmas reminds us Jesus is waiting for us to come to him the first time or to come back to him or to continue to stay with him. He never left us, but we keep leaving him and ruining our lives in many ways.
Jesus forgives the worst of us and only asks us to love him and to love, forgive and help each other.
The Bible's book of Matthew also says: So whatever you wish that people would do to you, do so to them.
Have a very merry and blessed Christmas and always remember the greatest gift of all is Jesus Christ our Lord.
