Reader's View: Chinese-made Olympic attire fuels disgust

I just saw that the U.S. Olympic team is going to dress in attire made in China for the Olympic Games. This is a kick in the teeth and a slap in the face of U.S.A. sports, for our government. This is one of a few times this writer feels this disgust.

As a national track competitor in track and field, I find the attire decision to be insulting and wrong. U.S. Olympic officials must have no shame. Where is our patriotism and our pride as competitors in the marketplace? Is making money that important? Do we have to sell our souls to compete in the marketplace? The next time will we be selling our soul for 30 pieces of silver?

From the political world, one of those in the middle of this sell-out is Sen. Phillip Gramm of the Reagan Administration (1981-89). He was a strong supporter of outsourcing of business. He also championed deregulation.
