Just finished doing a little research on the current 8th District Minnesota congressman, Rick Nolan, a Democrat. He has been a congressman for a total of 10 years.
His own campaign flier, touting his value to Minnesota voters, shows he claims to have written (that’s the significant word, “written”) two bills, the “no government, no pay” bill and the “buy American” bill, neither of which have been enacted. To be fair, he has sponsored or co-sponsored a total of 44 pieces of legislation. From that record, you can draw your own conclusions as to his worth.
Nolan also claims in one of his TV ads that he has been named one of the “most effective” members of Congress. But I really doubt his work habits have changed that much from one of his previous terms when he was acknowledged as having among the worst missed-votes records in Congress.
I urge 8th District voters to take a serious look at U.S. Rep. Rick Nolan before casting their votes this year.
