We have had significant interest in priestly views in News Tribune letters to the editor recently. I endorse any priest's right to his opinion and applaud the newspaper for publishing those opinions. Fortunately, our American and Minnesota constitutions make us free to hold and express any opinion, no matter how valid, vile or vapid.

And I believe the priest who wrote the Aug. 12 letter, "Obama is world's most dangerous killer," as well as other religious mentors, should be able to offer political opinions from the pulpit.
