Reader's view: Blessed Trinity comes first

The Hebrew Christian God says, “You shall not kill.” Like King Herod in the Bible, President Barack Obama commands when it comes to babies: Kill! Kill! Abort them all! And his policy is given priority over God’s. So, who is your God, you who support Obama?
Jesus left the Apostles with orders to “go (and) make disciples of all nations, teaching them to observe all things, whatever I have commanded you, and I will be with you all days to the end of time.” Obama seems to say: Say your prayers in your churches but shut up about your religious beliefs everywhere else.
And when some rabid single atheist complains that his kid heard the teacher mention God in school, the whole country has to kowtow to the bigotry of the atheist complainer.
And even in the private, nonpolitical area, we see private businesses caving in to such bigotry. For example, hotels are now removing Gideon Bibles because some anti-religionist raised a ruckus. No one was compelled to even touch, much less read and pray over, those Bibles. They could just mind their own business and respect the good intentions of those who donated the books.
So, who is your god? Mine certainly is not Obama or any other politician, even from among the more honorable ones. To the best of my ability, I will follow Jesus - and publicly, even outside the church building. I will “preach the gospel to all nations.” The Blessed Trinity is my God and comes before everyone else.
