Beth Olson is a name to remember when voting Nov. 8. She is running for St. Louis County commissioner in the 3rd District.
There is no public office that touches our everyday life more than that of county commissioner. The County Board provides an array of services to the public and our communities and oversees that budget.
Olson has had years of experience working with social services, the county attorney’s office, the sheriff’s department and child protection. She currently is executive director of the First Witness Child Advocacy Center. She has worked for 25 years in the areas of public health and safety, which accounts for
70 percent of the county’s budget.
Olson understands budgets and has worked hard to improve services while effectively managing the public’s money. Our property taxes support the county’s budget, which makes this position important to all of us as recipients of county services and as taxpayers.
“Hard work matters” is Olson’s campaign slogan and is demonstrated by her success with First Witness and how hard she has worked reaching out to voters. Please join me and vote for her on Nov. 8.
