Best stimulus plan
is to stop taxes
It continues to amaze me how easily we as Americans are so ignorantly fooled by our government.
I'm 36 years old and have been self-employed for nine years. The latest talk we've all been listening to about the stimulus package our government is planning to regain our confidence and create consumer spending is enough to make me sick. As a nation, we are deficit spending in the trillions of dollars, and we're allowing our government to mortgage our futures, thinking they can spend our tax dollars (and trillions no one has) better than we can as proud Americans.
If Washington truly was interested in solving the downward spiraling economy, eliminating everyone's taxes for one year or even six months would be infinitely more effective. Think of having every penny you earned at your disposal to spend or save as you saw fit, rather than going through government red tape and having actually 30 cents of every tax dollar go to someone's pet project. Between income and property taxes, the average person would come close to doubling his or her net income. That would truly be a stimulus package to everyone but those in government who believe they know how to spend your money better than you!
