The Un-Fair Campaign is about public education, awareness and acknowledgement, and those are good goals.

Racism, and race itself, is a social construct, but it is intentionally constructed for a reason; and once constructed it is maintained through a sort of acceptance of it being the norm.

The reason it is constructed is to oppress one group in an attempt to create privileges for the oppressing group. That's not to say that the oppressing group is necessarily all white people. Rather, it's a subset, but even those who do not intend to oppress may inadvertently lend support to maintaining oppression.

White privilege is the result, and we all need to understand, to be aware of and to acknowledge white privilege. That's particularly so for white folks, as we need to acknowledge this issue and stand up and say "not in my name!" and demand deconstruction of unjust privilege and corresponding subjugation. And we need to do this not just in the area of race but also sex, gender, nationality, class, etc. The Un-Fair Campaign is a very good effort toward this end.
