Amid the many articles I've read about our latest snowstorm and the return of the dreaded polar vortex, I was pleased to see an uplifting article about the Angels for a Cause fundraising event in Duluth ("Snow-angel event in Duluth aims to raise money to help homeless people," Feb. 25).
As a Minnesotan, I've become all too familiar with our seemingly endless winters and all the snow that comes with them. However, it's refreshing to see it in a positive light.
Homelessness is a prevalent issue in Duluth that sometimes seems to be overlooked. While there are numerous organizations advocating for this population, I think it's great that Angels for a Cause invited the community to come together for such a cause. What better way to put all of the snow to good use.
