It is important for all our elected representatives to have strong connections to the area they intend to represent and to be knowledgeable of the area as well. Jeff Anderson grew up here in the Northland and has gained the knowledge needed to represent us as a veteran, businessman and public servant. He has a vested interest in the future of the Northland because it is a place he always has called home and will continue to call home, win or lose.
We need leaders committed to the future of our area, and we believe Anderson has and will continue to demonstrate that necessary commitment. This is why Northland leaders such as Duluth Mayor Don Ness and state Rep. Tom Rukavina have endorsed Anderson's campaign.
We will be voting for Jeff Anderson on Tuesday in the DFL primary, and we encourage all readers of the News Tribune to do the same.
