I understand in Hennepin County there was a dog named Face that viciously attacked and killed a 7-year-old boy. Face was the family pet. Even sadder was that the dog had seven prior incidents of biting or attacking. The father had the dog tied up in the basement. Why? I don't know. The little boy's father said the dog was a nice family pet.

All the bleeding hearts in this country keep telling us pit bulls like Face are  wonderful, loving pets. I agree this family pet loved the little boy to death.

Evidently, when someone gets a pit bull, it is like getting married -- until death do us part.

The pet was tied up in the basement because of his biting incidents. The boy went into the basement presumably to play with Face while his father was upstairs sleeping.

A Hennepin County District Judge found the boy's father innocent of second-degree manslaughter.

In a different case, football player Michael Vick was sent to prison for running a dog-fighting business.

What is wrong with this picture?

The father in the first incident knew Face was a danger, and he still had that dog in his house. Even after seven prior biting incidents. He should be eating his meals right across the table with Vick in prison.

If bleeding-heart liberals say pit bulls are not dangerous, I'd suggest they go and adopt one. I'm sure their new family pit bull would love their children or grandchildren.

I bet there aren't many advocates for this breed of dog. Who owns one and why? Because they know the true nature inside the beast?
