Good news for Last Chance fishing contest

Organizers of Saturday's "Last Chance" ice fishing contest on Fish Lake say they have plowed a road from Hi-Banks Resort to the contest site, just beyond the narrows. They've also plowed ample space for parking on the ice. So, if you want to drive out, you'll be able to, assuming it doesn't snow a foot between now and Saturday.

The contest is sponsored by the Cloquet Kiwanis Club. Hours are noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27. (A listing in this past Sunday's Outdoors Notes in the News Tribune incorrectly stated the ending time as 3:30 p.m.) Entry fee is $25 for adults, $5 for children 12 or younger.
