Life at "bird camp" north of Ely

I was fortunate enough to spend some time at a grouse and woodcock hunting camp in the woods north of Ely over the weekend. Several hunters with Ely/Tower connections spend four or five days camping and hunting. Not many woodcock are around yet -- their migration through northern Minnesota could begin any day -- but there were plenty of grouse in the woods.
I'll write about life in bird camp for Sunday's Duluth News Tribune, but here are a few more photos from the weekend.
