A headline in the April 18 News Tribune read, “Trump boosts St. Paul anti-distancing protest.” The smaller, secondary headline above the same story reported, “ State has highest one day increase in positive tests, death s.”
Come on, protesters. Science and common sense are not on your side. The people who are going to die from COVID-19 are you, your friends, and your family. To paraphrase a friend of mine, going to one of these protests is like parachuting out of an airplane and saying to yourself before reaching the ground, "I've slowed down enough, I can take my parachute off now."
Don't be fooled. Stay safe. And to go out and protest like this should earn an automatic nomination for a Darwin Award.
