Unless you can count the total disbelief of Democrats and many Republicans and independents in 2016 that America elected someone so narcissistic, uncaring, and totally lacking of a moral compass, I am not sure how it is that " Dems didn't 'move on' 4 years ago," as a Nov. 20 letter claimed.
The letter stated that Democrats should have practiced in 2016 what they are now asking the rest of us to practice in 2020. Let's see, Hillary Clinton conceded, frivolous lawsuits were not filed over the election results, pointless recounts were not requested, funds were not held from President-elect Donald Trump for his transition, then-President Barack Obama met with President-elect Trump at the White House, and I don't believe Democrats refused for weeks after the election to consider Trump the president-elect for fear of what Clinton might do to them or to make her feel better about losing. Clinton certainly did not attempt to improperly influence secretaries of state or electors in states she lost.
Fortunately, we were not experiencing a pandemic then, but I can reasonably assume that unlike what is occurring now with the new administration being prevented from even talking to the COVID-19 Task Force, then-President Obama would have fully cooperated with the incoming Trump administration on crisis coordination plans.
What exactly am I missing? Trump sabotaged himself by his own behavior. He needed no one else to help him.
